Pleading Not Guilty
The date listed on your ticket is your Court appearance date. If you are not able to appear on that date, mail in the signed and dated Part B of the issued ticket/summons to Town of Lancaster Justice Court 525 Pavement Rd Lancaster, NY 14086 before the date listed on your summons. Upon receipt of your Not Guilty plea the Court will notify you in writing of your new Court date.
Pleading Guilty
A Guilty plea is made by signing and dating Part A of your summons and mailing the document to the Justice Court before the date printed on the front of your summons. Upon receipt of your Guilty plea, the Court will notify you in writing of the fine and surcharge due.
**Acceptable methods of payment when paying in person: Cash, VISA, MasterCard, money order or certified check made payable to Town of Lancaster Court. Card holder must be present. NO Personal Checks accepted.

Failure to Answer a Ticket in the Town of Lancaster
Failure to answer a ticket in the Town of Lancaster can and will result in the suspension of one’s license/driving privileges. Penalties for suspension for failure to pay a fine OR appear in court are substantial. To lift a suspension once it occurs, there is an extra $70.00 per EACH ticket you received, plus the fines and surcharges that could be imposed.

License Suspension
If you have a suspension in the Town of Lancaster for Failure to Respond to a Summons please call the Court for the next available Court session. That Court session you will have the chance to speak with the Town Prosecutor. You may also submit a guilty plea to the Court office in person, via mail or fax.
